In 1992, the Grand Master returned to Taiwan and invited the deities for their blessings, including the revered Wu Ji Yao Chi Jin Mu, Guanyin Bodhisattva, and the God of Wealth. However, before he could invite the deities back, Yao Chi Jin Mu gave a command that he should invite two more deities: one was the Heavenly Mother, and the other was the Zhongtan Marshal. Only then could he bring the deities back to his home. Subsequently, the deities were formally enshrined in his dining room on the 28th of the 6th lunar month.
In the second half of the year, by chance, a woman named Mrs. Huang needed surgery for an eye disease and, due to the inconvenience of visiting temples in Chinatown, was introduced to visit the Grand Master’s home to pray to the five deities. Miraculously, after she lit incense and the Grand Master began his work, her eyes healed, and she no longer needed surgery.
Mrs. Huang recovered and returned to work. When she went back to her office, her colleagues were amazed at her recovery. She later shared the miracle with others, and many people came to visit the Grand Master’s home, hoping to pray to the deities. However, as a new immigrant who had been in the U.S. for less than a year, the Grand Master was concerned about potentially encountering people with ill intentions, so he refused to let anyone in. This made him feel uneasy.
Yao Chi Jin Mu instructed the Grand Master to open the door and let people come and pray. Reluctantly, the Grand Master followed the instruction. He then helped many more people in need. At this point, Yao Chi Jin Mu decided to name the temple “Flushing Cihui Hall.” As the number of followers continued to grow, the dining room space became cramped, with the number of followers reaching over a hundred. On December 24th, we moved the deities to the garage.
In 1998, due to the rapid increase in the number of followers, nearly 900 visitors could no longer be accommodated. Therefore, we moved to the current location in a building.
